ATTENTION RESIDENTS
The South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians (SCAFP) invites Resident members to submit proposals to present original research or quality improvement initiatives of interest to a primary care audience during the SCAFP 2024 Summer Breakaway and Annual Assembly at the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC. The conference is scheduled for June 6-9, with resident presentations taking place on Friday and Saturday, June 7thand 8th.
Presentation topics should be geared towards patient care and applicable for family physicians in practice. Examples of topics include patient care guidelines, preventive strategies, practice-based systems of care, evidence-based medicine, and quality improvement. The request for proposals containing specific criteria for submission is attached. Only completed projects will be accepted for presentation. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2024. Submissions should be sent through the SCAHEC submittable link:
Resident members will be notified by March 27, 2024 whether or not their abstracts were selected for presentation. The SCAFP will coordinate with selected residents on scheduling the presentations and hotel reservations at the Sonesta Resort. Accommodations at the Resort will be provided for a maximum of two nights for up to two residents per abstract selected. Luncheon tickets will be available upon request. Resident presenters will also be required to participate in the other CME sessions and the Exhibit Hall.
